A MESSAGE FROM THE SCHAFFERS

June 16, 2020

Hospitality Industry

Valued Clients, Associates, Guests, Vendors and Friends,

In normal times, it goes without saying that the health and safety of our employees and guests is our number one priority. Since these are not normal times, we want to assure you we remain diligent in maintaining a clean and safe environment for producing and serving food. To that end, we are strengthening our already high sanitation standards and adding all appropriate additional safety measures to do our part to halt the spread of Covid-19.

For the best up to date guidance, we continuously monitor many sources.  These include The World Health Organization, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as well as local government and health department directives and guidelines.  Additionally, we have adopted the tremendously thorough program, Safety First: Serving Food and Protecting People During Covid-19, created in collaboration by the Aspen Institute, World Central Kitchen, the James Beard Foundation and Off Their Plate.

The catering industry has an additional challenge as friends and families gather again.  Not only must we keep our offices, vehicles and facilities clean, we must also evaluate the safety of all of the sites where we are serving for unique challenges or hazards.  Whether a venue, a private home or anywhere else you may find us making people happy, we are up to the challenge and take pride in demonstrating our expertise in keeping people healthy.

The way people are gathering is different for now, and that has provided us an opportunity to rethink how we serve you.  We encourage you to reach out to a Schaffer sales manager to discuss options to make your event special, whether it is drop off Shindig boxes or full-service catering with our Schaffer event staff.

We are also happy to share with you our specific initiatives to ensure safety for all of us.  Just ask!

Thank you for continuing to trust us with your health and happiness.

Charlie & Kathleen Schaffer
